I’m a husband and father to two beautiful young ladies who love to keep me on my toes. My oldest, Claire, is in high school and my youngest, Delaney, in her last year of elementary school. My wife, Grace, is a go-getter and loves new challenges — like starting her own side business building and selling furniture. When we aren’t busy with our girls or our businesses, you can catch us training for endurance events. We’ve both completed three half Ironmans, numerous distance cycling events and countless half marathons, 10ks, and 5ks. Needless to say, there is not much downtime in our household.
My knack for fixing things started as a kid tinkering with stuff my neighbors threw out. I remember many times taking something apart, trying to attach it to something else and getting a little zap of voltage when I miscalculated. Jumping forward a few years, I joined the Navy as an Electricians Mate, doing everything from changing lightbulbs to upgrading valve systems. I scored at the top of my class at my Navy A School, was stationed at National City and assigned to the USS Milus, a destroyer class ship. Though my time in the Navy was spent repairing electrical systems on ships, many of the principles carried over to systems in commercial and residential properties as well. After leaving the military, I continued learning the ins and outs of home maintenance and fine detail work while working for apartment complexes under experienced handymen. Fast forward a few more years, I started doing handyman work solo on the side while working a full-time corporate job to help pay for our wedding. Reaching out to friends and family to see if they had any renovation work they needed done returned surprising amount of requests. What started off small with home renovations for people I knew quickly grew and led to me working on houses for their friends and family and fixing up local businesses. In 2024, after years of doing everything from replacing ceiling fans to completing entire home remodels, I made the jump to become a full-time self-employed handyman. So whatever your renovation needs, I’m here to nail it.
